Fixout Steel Frames

Architraves and skirting can be nailed to steel framing. The following information details fasteners selection and fixing procedure for Boxed and Open Stud systems.

Fastener Selection

Boxed & Open Stud systems

Architraves may be fixed directly onto the stud using ND 38 Series nails. Skirting can be fixed directly onto 45mm bottom plates using the same nail

For fixing internal door jambs, use ND 50 Series nails or Senco DA-17 EPB

 

Note:

When nailing the above systems, ensure the nail gun is held square to the nailing point and adjust air pressure to suit.
