Install LYSAGHT® Gutters to LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia System
This page contains basic instruction on installing LYSAGHT® gutters to LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia System.
Please be aware that rainwater goods must be installed by licensed tradespeople in some Australian states.
GUTTER INSTALLATION
STEP 1
Straddle Spring Clip over the LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia by rolling from behind and up over the fascia to the vertical position. |
 |
STEP 2
By hitting the top of the clip down with a closed fist, push the clip all the way down into place. Place two clips a maximum of 1200mm apart over the LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia at the mid-point position of the length of gutter about to be installed. |
 |
STEP 3
By holding the gutter from underneath, push the rear of the gutter up between the LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia and the clip. Push the gutter up so that the top zinger (rib) is placed between the 1st and 2nd barb of the Spring Clips. |
 |
STEP 4
When fastening the clips as you work your way down from the high end to the low end, push the clip down over both the LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia and the gutter together, then push the gutter back up to the desired level to retain a (minimum) fall of 1 in 500. |
 |
STEP 5
Locate the gutter overstrap beside each Spring Clip by engaging under the front of the gutter bead, then roll the rear of the overstrap back towards the LYSAGHT NOVALINE® Fascia. Secure the overstrap by folding the tail behind the fascia. |

Installation Considerations:
1) Do not install galvanised gutters with a ZINCALUME® steel or COLORBOND® steel prepainted roof.
2) Do not use lead flashings, washers, etc with ZINCALUME® steel or COLORBOND® steel guttering
3) A minimum gutter fall of 1 in 500 is recommended by AS 2180-1986
4) The downpipe size and spacing should be calculated in accordance with AS2180-1986.
5) When installing gutters, remove any metal particles or debris at the end of the day to prevent staining or corrosion.
