LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305®
Product Description and Features
LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305® is a strong and durable, concealed-fixed roofing and walling cladding available in long lengths. It is available in three styles:
- plain (flat pans);
- fluted (small creases in the centre of the pan);
- tapered (pan-width reduced by up to 50% of normal width at one end)
Suitable for roofing with a pitch as low as 1 degree (1 in 50), LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305® has the capacity to be tapered for a sweeping fan effect.
- Simple concealed fixing
- Available in ZINCALUME® and a limited range of COLORBOND® steel colours
- Can be used on roof pitches down as low as 1 degree (1 in 50)
Common Uses of this product
Traditionally used for industrial, commercial and residential applications. Tapering allows use in fanned roof applications.
Warnings
- For low pitches, all roof supports must be in the one plane to prevent water ponding leading to premature corrosion
- Manufactured in NSW with limited availability - please check with your local BlueScope Lysaght Sales Office on ph: 13 30 38 for availability of product and colours
- Ensure selection of suitable material for environmental conditions for maximum durability
- Lead and copper are not compatible with ZINCALUME® steel or COLORBOND® steel
- Read full details on Guidelines for using COLORBOND® steel & ZINCALUME® steel.

Spanning Tables
The maximum recommended roof support spacings are based on testing in accordance with AS1562.1-1992, AS4040.1-1992, and AS4040.1-1992.
Roof spans consider both resistance to wind pressure and light foot traffic (traffic arising from incidental maintenance).
Wall spans consider resistance to wind pressure only.
The pressure considered is based on buildings up to 10 m high in Region B, Terrain Category 3, Ms=0.85, Mi=1.0, Mt=1.0), with the following assumptions made:
Roofs:
Cpi=+0.20, Cpe=0.90, and K l=2.0 for single and end spans, Kl=1.5 for internal spans.
Walls:
Cpi=+0.20, Cpe=0.65, and K l=2.0 for single and end spans, Kl=1.5 for internal spans.
These spacings may vary by serviceability and strength limit states for particular projects.

- For roofs the data are based on foot-traffic
- For walls: the data are based on pressuress (see wind pressure table)
- Supports must be not less than 1 mm BMT
Capacity & Load Tables
The wind capacities are based on tests conducted at BlueScope Lysaght's NATA registered testing laboratory.
Testing was conducted in accordance with AS1562.1 - 1992, Design and Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding, and AS4040.2 - 1992, Resistance to Wind Pressure for Non Cyclone Regions.**
The table for wind pressure capacities provides the pressure for Serviceability and Strength Limit State design at various spans and for different span types.
The pressure capacities for Serviceability Limit State are based on a deflection limit of (span/120) + (P/30), where P is the maximum fastener pitch.
The pressure capacities for Strength Limit State have been determined by testing the cladding to failure (ultimate capacity). These capacities are applicable when the cladding is fixed to a minimum of 1.0 mm material (G550).
For material less than 1.0 mm, Contact Us for advice.
