Warnings
- Some profile dimensions may vary slightly from state to state. No longer available in NSW
- It is important that gutters slope towards the outlets (a minimum gutter fall of 1 in 500 is recommended). Without this slope, 'ponding' may occur, reducing the life of your gutter
- When installing gutters, remove any metal particles or debris at the end of the day to prevent staining or corrosion
- Lead and copper are not compatible with ZINCALUME® steel or COLORBOND® steel
- The protective plastic film should be stripped off immediately on installation
- Ensure selection of suitable material for environmental conditions for maximum durability

Roof Drainage Capacity

Fall
Install gutters with a generous fall to avoid ponding (which reduces gutter life), but the fall should not be so steep as the be obvious to the casual observer. Fall on house guttering is often about 1:250 (12mm in 3000mm), though a steeper fall of 1:100 should give the gutter a longer life.
Downpipe Design
The downpipe size and spacing should be determined in accordance with AS/NZ3500.3.2:1998 National plumbing and drainage: Part 3.2: Stormwater drainage - Acceptable solutions.
