Five completely trivial but fun facts to boggle your mind. The theme for this edition of 'S.O.S' is birds. Did you know:

  • Birds must fly at an average speed of 17.7 km/h to stay aloft.
  • After bathing, starlings frequently dry themselves off by using sheep as towels.
  • An albatross can sleep in midair while flying at a speed of 56km/h.
  • A 3 month old baby pelican weighs more than a full grown adult pelican.
  • The petrel, a small sea bird, drinks only seawater. If left inland beside fresh water, it will die of thirst
