A unique road-going

the high tech mobile cleaning services market. Built by CNM Steelworks, the vehicle

4. Newly Updated Cold Rolled Strip Data Sheets |
Cold Rolled Strip
is sheet steel which has been rolled to specified thicknesses at low temperature
in a continuous cold rolling mill operation. This strip is generally only available
in thicknesses lower than 3.2 mm and can be used for a wide range of applications.
This month, newly updated data sheets for our range of cold rolled strip products
have been added to the site. To view and download these datasheets, visit this
page:

5. High Strength Steels - Cost Or Economy? |
In a time of ever-increasing
cost consciousness, there is a growing need to consider whole-of-project costs
when specifying materials. High strength quenched and tempered (Q&T) steels
illustrate how the up-front cost of materials can be more than offset by other
factors. Although the economics will be influenced by many factors, it is increasingly
common to find that the cost of the material is offset at least in part by the
reduced material requirement, and frequently is more than offset when total project
costs are calculated. Read more:

6. Vintage Design In Wine Country |
South Australia's
Paringa Vineyard has used steel to create an innovative manager's residence and
administration centre. The award-winning development uses framing, wall cladding
and roofing made from ZINCALUME® steel. Building and development company,
The Hickinbotham Group and architects Berriman & Associates, designed the
building to blend in with its rural surroundings. Find out more about this award

7. Did You Know... |
Five completely trivial
but fun facts to boggle your mind. The theme for this edition of 'S.O.S' is Australia.
Did you know:
- Australia is the
smallest, flattest, and driest inhabited continent in the World. It is the only
country which is also a whole continent.
- Arguably the largest
state in the world, Western Australia covers one-third of the Australian continent.
It spans over 2.5 million square kilometers
- Uluru (Ayres Rock)
is the largest rock in the world. 3.6km long and 2.4km wide, it rises out of the
middle of the country to a height of 348 metres.
- Strangeray Springs
cattle station in South Australia is the largest ranch in the world. Its area
measures 30,029 km square - only slightly smaller than the European country of
Belgium.
- The largest lake
in Australia is Lake Eyre, measuring 8,885 km square. However, it has only been
filled with water 3 times in the past 100 years (it is a salt lake the rest of
the time).
