3. Environment For Life |
A
forward thinking home builder is impressing both
the building industry and the wider public with
their energy efficient designs. 'Next - You're
Home', which is a collaboration between award
winning South Australian builder Ross Lang and
acclaimed environmental architect John Maitland,
has recently unveiled their seven star rated demonstration

4. Sweet Success for The Refinery |
The
heritage listed Colonial Sugar Refinery Building
at Cutter's Landing on the fringe of Brisbane's
CBD has won two Queensland architecture awards
for developer Mirvac. The exterior of The Refinery,
erected in 1893, has been totally restored as
the centrepiece of the A$250 million Cutters Landing
project, with the roof and tower areas completely
reclad with LYSAGHT CUSTOM ORB® sheeting made

wettest place in the world is Mawsynram, India,
which receives an average of 11,870 mm per year
- In
Australia, the wettest town is Tully in North
QLD, which has an annual average rainfall of 4,204
mm

contrast - the driest place in the world is Wadi
Halfa in Sudan, with an annual average rainfall
of less than 2.5 mm
- In
Australia, Mulka Bore, west of Lake Eyre in South
Australia is the driest area with an average annual
rainfall of only 100 mm

Australia is held by Waratah PO, Tasmania with
314 rainy days in 1955
