This Month's Feature Article
1. West Australian Farmers Slash Harvest Times

West Australian grain farmers are now slashing harvesting schedules using mobile field bins developed by Esperance company Parker Silos and Sheetmetal. Called WildCat Chaser Bins, these huge 20, 25, 30 and now 35 and 40 tonne capacity bins are hauled alongside harvesting machines (headers) in the field, collecting crop loads for deposit in farm silos. 2. Silo Project Continues Trend to Steel

A A$100 million upgrade to grain handling facilities in the Western Australian port of Albany has confirmed the growing preference for steel silos. The new 60,000 tonne capacity Albany silos at the centre of the work are very similar to ten built at Esperance in 2000. Read why this trend to steel continues at:

3. Split Level Success

The popularity of steel building frames made from TRUECORE® steel continues to grow as South Australian designers and builders increasingly use it to give homeowners larger spanned, exciting contemporary homes. South Australian building company, Serenity Homes recently demonstrated this with a large 300 square metre, split level home in Golden Grove, north of Adelaide. Read the full story at:

4. P&H MinePro Services Keeps Dragline Production in Top Gear

When it comes to mining equipment, or for that matter, any mobile equipment, a dragline represents the cutting edge. While some surface mining operations rely on the truck and shovel method of removing overburden, P&H MinePro Services Australasia has supplied and built six huge draglines for local mines.
