you use structural steel in atmospheric environments
where the relative humidity is above 60-70% at normal
temperatures and where the steel is contaminated with
salts? If you are, then you need to read our informative
guide on how to prevent corrosion of structural steel.

Laser
cutting of steel has become increasingly widespread
in Australia in the last few years, and the successful
use of this technology depends at least partly on
selecting the right grade of steel to be cut. There
are many advantages to laser cutting including speed,
precision, and quality. Steel properties can have
a large impact on both the ability to cut steel and
the quality of the cut. To find out more go to:

10. Did You Know... |
Five
completely trivial but fun facts to boggle your mind.
The theme for this edition of 'S.O.S' is telephones.
Did you know:
-
Telephone comes from the Greek word tele, meaning
from afar, and phone, meaning voice or voiced sound
- The
Lazy E Ranch in Gutherie, Oklahoma, has pay telephones
that are 2 metres above the ground, for use by cowboys
on horseback
- There
is a phone booth located in Mojave dessert 23km
from the nearest paved road
- The
first payphones had an attendant who collected the
money and placed the calls. The phones were often
in very fancy large booths
- The
first mobile car phones were located in the car's
trunk, taking up nearly half of the space!
