Transportable Specialist Recognised For Home Excellence

A WA home builder has won recognition for its long commitment to the Western Australian building market. Since its establishment in 1972, T&R Homes has supplied transportable and kit homes to a range of homebuyers, from rural and remote communities to government departments.

BlueScope Steel has presented T&R Homes with an Excellence in Steel Framed Housing Award in recognition of T&R Homes' continued commitment to quality, customer service and the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

T&R Homes has used steel house frames made from ZINCALUME® steel and roofing made from COLORBOND® steel or over 30 years.

The company utilises the benefits of ZINCALUME® steel to provide a unique steel framing wall and roof truss system.

Steel construction allows T&R Homes to modify designs with ease to meet requests from clients and architects.

"Our unique steel framed wall and truss system lets us build homes that meet all seismic, cyclonic and building requirements and regulations throughout Australia," said T&R Homes' Simon Joiner.

He said steel frames had greater strength than conventional alternatives, weighed less and sped home construction.

All T&R Homes' designs also use roofing made from either COLORBOND® steel or ZINCALUME® steel.
