Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT), North Queensland. The buildings are clad in PERMALITE LT7® and V-RIB® in colours Silver Coin™ and Bronze Olive. PERMALITE® aluminium purlins and girts were also used.
Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) Expansion
Size of Project:
The recently completed 7X expansion was an extension to the existing coal terminal in Mackay. It included a parallel off-shore coal conveyor, on-shore take-up and transfer towers. Overall size of the project was more than 150,000m2.
Products:
BlueScope supplied a range Permalite® products including sheeting and structural purlins. The sheeting was distinctively pre-painted in the bold colours of Silver Coin™ and Bronze Olive in the profiles of Permalite LT7® and V-Rib®.
Permalite® aluminium purlins & girts were also used on the structure this assisted in the design brief for minimum weight and maximise component fit.
The Permalite® product ensures ongoing maintenance free performance in the aggressive industrial/marine environment.
Outcome:
BlueScope worked closely with John Holland Pty Ltd. (principal contractor) and other following trades to ensure the project came in on time.
BlueScope also supported the projects with a 15 year warranty on the sheeting.
